Thailand, Phuket Trip - 23rd October 2012

Hello! :D
Finally after so long, I decided to be active in blog again. I mentioned in Facebook, Twitter that I'll be going for a getaway with Rayna for her belated 21st birthday. So, I planned everything with her, booked our flight, hotel & we're really to set off on the 23rd October.

Woke up early in the morning with Hubs to prepare ourselves & meet up with Rayna to make our way to Changi Airport. Time is rather rush for us, but still, managed to reach the airport on time (:

On the plane with Rayna

Had breakfast on the plane instead. Wanted to have MacDonald, but we're running late, so we just have cup noodles instead. Plane food, drinks are mad expensive! One cup noodles, cost us 5$!

Away from that, it was a 1hour 30minutes flight to Phuket. When the plane is about to take off, Rayna was quite excited, scared, because it was her first time taking a plane, she grabbed hold of my arms tightly, haha (: Took photos, had lots of chats on the plane. Touched down at Phuket Airport at around 9.15am.

FREE SimCard

We saw there a few people standing at a booth, & we actually walk pass them & hear them shouting "Free SimCard", so we walked back to them & get ourselves 2 free simcard (: The simcard is not credited with much value, at most we just go 7-11 or Family Mart to top up the value. Went out of the airport, had a puff while I called up the hotel regarding our airport transfer, & the staff told me that I actually have to email the hotel to confirm my aiport transfer. Therefore, there's no airport transfer for us! ): So, after our puff, we went to get a bottle of Coke each, & went to the mini bus/taxi ticket counter to get 2 tickets for ourselves to send us down to Phuket City. The ticket cost 150 baht each.

On the way to the mini bus office, we actually saw 九王爷 too. I didn't know that actually Thailand have this kind of festival too. /:

Thanks God that the driver actually know where is the location of our hotel, as the hotel that I booked is actually quite nice, it was only built in 2011. The hotel that we're going to stay for 4D3N is called De Coze' Hotel. As what, Rayna mentioned in her blog, this hotel is nice & awesome, is just that there's no room services available yet because it's a new management.

Checked in less than 10 minutes. Went up to our hotel room & snap photos of the room, laze awhile & get ourselves changed & we're ready to go for lunch.

The hotel actually provide free tuktuk service for in house guest to place we wanna go! So, I called the reception & they arrange a tuktuk for us & off we go.

NEXT STOP, JUNGCEYLON SHOPPING MALL

So, we had lunch in a shopping mall instead because of the killing weather & also because I cannot think of other place to eat. Walked pass Jeffer, Rayna say she feel like eating Carbonara, so we went ahead with it. Lunch was awesome, expect for the main dish, Carbonara. It's my first time eating Carbonara, but to my surprised, it was too cheesy, too sticky, too cooked. But, the mushroom soup, THUMB UP!

After lunch, went to meet up with Hubs at MK Restaurant, then have a puff with him. Aftermath, Rayna & I went to Baazar Market to get a top & a set of bikini for 600 baht each.

Walked along Baazar Market & saw a store selling Naraya bag, & we wanted to go take a look, but the shop is closed. So, I went to get mango for myself, as Rayna is allergic to mango. Wanted to take tuktuk back, but after asking the price, we decided to walk back instead.

Showered, have a short nap & we're for the nightlife in Phuket! (:
The nightlife in Phuket is much more better & awesome compared to Singapore. The streets is actually closed from 4pm to 2am. Their street markets operate till 12mn, & the shopping malls operate till latest 12mn too, along the street you can always get drinks, food whenever you feel hungry. There're also convenient 24hr 7-11, Family Mart. Their fast food restaurants stated that they operate 24hr, but it's not /:

There are all sorts of pubs, bars, clubs along the street. What amazed & interests us is the name of the street, the street is called BANGLA STREET. What a interesting name! What amaze us more is, the street is more angmos than Thais & Banglas, HAHA.

We both spent more than 4 hours walking around & exploring the street. But, we did not finish walking, exploring the whole entire Bangla Street, because it's too big! Rayna got scared by some Thais carrying animals, because they just dump the animals onto you & told you they want to snap photos.

Along the roadside, we shall a lot of pushcart selling pancake, so we decided to buy one each to try. Ordered Nutella Pancake to try as we did not try it before. One word, AWESOME! It's crispy on the outside and there's lots of nutella inside. You can also choose to add fruits like banana, mango or apples inside it (: THIS IS A MUST TRY IN PHUKET

Was suppose to meet Hubs for dinner, but his Fantasea show ended too late & we're both tired. So we went to a Family Mart to get some cup noodles, cup porridges, bottle drinks & took tuktuk back hotel. Prepared ourselves, had our "cup" dinner & had chats before the both of us knocked out on the bed.
We both need lots of energy for our Phi Phi Island trip tomorrow! (:

P.S : Most of the photos are taken from Rayna's blog (:

Till then, xoxo!
